All the nitty-gritty about Design Services...
What's the difference between CMYK and CMYK + Spot or Foil?
What's the difference between CMYK and CMYK + Spot or Foil?
CMYK is standard full-colour printing. Adding a spot gloss or foil treatment gives selected elements — usually your logo — a raised gloss or metallic finish for a more premium look. Spot and foil need extra artwork setup, which is why that option is priced higher.
When does my design project start?
When does my design project start?
We’ll kick off your project as soon as your payment is complete and all content is finalized. The sooner we have everything from you, the sooner we can start bringing your vision to life!
How long will my design project take?
How long will my design project take?
In most cases, we can get started straight away, with a turnaround time of about 2 weeks (3-4weeks for visual identity work), but we need finalized content from you first. The sooner we have everything we need, the sooner we can begin bringing your project to life.
Who are your designers?

Led by our own Creative Director Britta, who co-owned her own branding agency for 8 years, our small but mighty team has experience in branding, visual identity and logo design as well as extensive packaging design experience.
Can I design a whole range with you?
Can I design a whole range with you?
Absolutely! Many of our clients create multiple packaging types at once, and we love working across an entire range. Because we see the project as a whole, we can make design decisions that keep your range cohesive, consistent, and visually strong from start to finish.
Can you help me with the content that needs to go on my packaging?
Can you help me with the content that needs to go on my packaging?
We can definitely guide you on how to structure your packaging and what content to include, but we don’t provide legal advice. Packaging rules and regulations vary depending on your product and industry, so it’s important to get expert guidance. The good news? We have a trusted network of professionals who can help you make sure your packaging meet all the necessary standards, so you can feel confident you are compliant.
Can you assist with minor design changes, logo placement, or general artwork modifications before printing?
Can you assist with minor design changes, logo placement, or general artwork modifications before printing?
Yes, we can! We’re happy to help with small tweaks, logo adjustments, or other artwork modifications. Services like these are priced differently from a full packaging design project, so we’ll provide a tailored quote based on the work required.
How many revisions will I receive per design?
How many revisions will I receive per design?
We include 2 rounds of revisions per asset. We ask very nicely that you try to keep to the included 2 rounds of changes to avoid being charged for extra rounds of alterations.
Primary Packaging Asset: Two rounds of changes are included. This is your chance to check content and design before we use it as a base for secondary packaging. Significant additional changes may incur a Project Restart Fee.
Secondary Assets: Two rounds of revisions are included per asset. Minor edits (e.g., ingredients, flavour, weight, colour palette tweaks) are covered. Major edits (e.g., resizing for different packaging) may require a new estimate.
What happens if I don’t like the designs you provide?
What happens if I don’t like the designs you provide?
We work closely with you to understand your vision and include multiple rounds of revisions to get the design just right. For primary packaging, you get two rounds of changes, and each secondary asset also includes two rounds. If you request major changes outside the original scope after sign-off, a Project Restart Fee may apply. We’ll always discuss next steps with you before any additional costs are incurred, so you’re in control.
Can I take my design elsewhere to get printed?
Can I take my design elsewhere to get printed?
Yes! Once your project is in production with The Packaging People, all original artwork and source files will be transferred to you. If you choose not to produce the project with us, you’ll receive only the final artwork (not the working files). Unused concepts remain our property.
